Welcome to the Future: Progress in Public Sector Modernization
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II recently graced the opening session of a forum dedicated to showcasing advancements in public sector modernization. The forum, held at the Prime Ministry and attended by various ministers and stakeholders, featured interactive sessions on the transformation of human resources, government services, education, and investments.
Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to achieving political, economic, and administrative modernization. He highlighted that public sector modernization is pivotal to comprehensive national progress. The ambitious modernization roadmap spans a decade, culminating in 2033 and is divided into three phases. The initial phase, covering 2022-2025, includes 33 strategic goals and 206 initiatives aimed at enhancing services, institutions, legislation, and human resources.
Significant advancements have already been made, with 90% of the year’s priorities for 2023 completed. Notably, 49% of government services have been automated, and comprehensive service centers have been established at key locations like the Queen Alia International Airport. The government has also focused on streamlining laws, procedures, and endorsing the Human Resources Strategy for 2023-2027 in alignment with the Economic Modernization Vision.
