Two political leaders, BJP’s Bharuch MP Mansukh Vasava and AAP’s Dediapada MLA Chaitar Vasava, engaged in a heated public argument in Narmada, Gujarat. The incident was captured in a viral video and police had to intervene to control the situation as supporters also got involved in the spat.
Both leaders lodged complaints against each other, prompting an investigation. The conflict arose after the BJP MP accused the AAP MLA of threatening a government officer, which led to their confrontation at the officer’s office.
While Mansukh Vasava emphasized his duty to address threats to government officials in his Lok Sabha area, Chaitar Vasava defended his presence with supporters following an invitation by the former. The AAP MLA had previously been arrested for threatening forest department officials but was allowed to campaign in Narmada and Bharuch districts for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.
The electoral battle in Gujarat, where elections for 25 Lok Sabha seats were held on May 7, continues to be intense with results expected on June 4.
