Falcon Energy Materials PLC Partners with Hensen Graphite & Carbon Corporation to Establish Anode Plant in Morocco
Falcon Energy Materials PLC, a graphite mining company based in the UAE, has entered into a strategic partnership with China’s Hensen Graphite & Carbon Corporation to establish an anode plant in Morocco for the production of coated spherical purified graphite (CSPG). This collaboration aims to set high-quality standards for CSPG production while ensuring transparency and sustainability.
Together with Tanger Med Engineering SA and Dorfner Anzaplan GmbH, the partnership will conduct a preliminary economic assessment (PEA) in compliance with National Instrument 43-101 to secure financing for the Anode Plant. The PEA, expected to be released in the fourth quarter of 2024, will evaluate the economic feasibility of producing 25,000 tonnes of CSPG annually.
Amid Morocco’s increasing focus on clean energy and electric mobility, this partnership highlights the country’s growing significance in the global lithium battery industry. With strategic location and supportive government policies, Morocco is poised to become a key player in these emerging sectors.
