US Secretary of State Antony Blinken recently visited Kiev to reiterate Washington’s support for Ukraine in its conflict against Moscow. Blinken, along with his British counterpart David Lammy, emphasized that the US wants to see Kiev emerge victorious and eventually join NATO.

Despite Western support, some NATO members like Hungary and Slovakia are unwilling to support Ukraine’s membership due to fears of sparking a war with Russia. Russian officials have warned that Ukraine’s NATO membership could lead to further conflicts.
