Azerbaijan is making big strides in education, with a 25% increase in spending per student reported by Deputy Minister of Science and Education Idris Isayev. Undergraduate education costs have gone up by 22%, master’s level by 26%, and doctoral programs by a whopping 60%. This investment is expected to benefit educational institutions in the long run.
Currently, Azerbaijan has 73,000 students, with the majority benefiting from government-funded education. This boost in spending demonstrates a strong commitment to providing quality education. Undergraduate and master’s education costs around 3,000 manat ($1,764), while doctoral studies exceed 4,500 manat ($2,647).
Idris Isayev emphasized that the increased funding will have a significant impact on universities, highlighting the importance of investing in education for the country’s future development.
