Tragedy struck as suspected kidnappers brutally murdered a businessman named Sunny Taxman after collecting a ransom of N10 million from his family. The victim, who hailed from Alor Agu in Enugu State but was based in Onitsha, Anambra State, was abducted three weeks prior to his tragic demise.
The assailants kidnapped him inside his vehicle, and later dumped his lifeless body in a dry gutter near RCC in Anambra State. A circulating video on social media captured the heartbreaking scene where passers-by discovered his corpse in the gutter.
Despite the ransom payment, the kidnappers ruthlessly killed the victim, possibly to prevent recognition and exposure. This appalling act has left the victim’s family and community in shock and sorrow.
The Anambra State Police Command, when contacted, stated that they were not aware of the incident and assured further inquiries into the matter. The senseless murder of Sunny Taxman serves as a stark reminder of the heinous crimes perpetrated by criminals in society.
