Communication is vital for growth, development, and sustainability, and the 13th edition of the International Government Communication Forum (IGCF 2024) showcased the integration of communication with government practices. With over 13,200 attendees from 138 countries, the forum held at Expo Centre Sharjah focused on the theme ‘Agile Governments… Innovative Communications’.
The event concluded with the launch of four publications addressing different aspects of government communication, including ‘Government Storytelling’ and ‘The Role of Government Communication in Spreading a Culture of Tolerance and Rejecting Hatred.’ Additionally, a research study by Trends Research & Advisory explored Asian resilience based on Singapore’s crisis management approach, highlighting valuable lessons for enhancing government resilience.
HE Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the SGMB, emphasized the importance of communication in driving growth and sustainability, stating that IGCF plays a crucial role in shaping government communication strategies. The forum facilitated discussions among decision-makers, industry leaders, and communication experts on global challenges and solutions, with over 160 workshops and panel discussions.
IGCF 2024 proved to be a platform for innovative ideas and partnerships, paving the way for a sustainable future in a rapidly changing world.
