Accompanied by key Moroccan officials, Akhannouch highlighted the strong political relations between Morocco and China, emphasizing the growth of Chinese investments in Morocco, especially in the automotive sector.
Chinese investments in Morocco include projects like the electric battery gigafactory in Kenitra and the tire factory by Sentury. The Head of Government also mentioned the wind turbine blade production unit near the Nador West Med port. Chinese companies, particularly those from Anhui province, are showing a keen interest in Morocco due to its stable platform for competitive production.
Liang Yanshun, the Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party for Anhui province, highlighted the significant interest in Morocco among Chinese companies, driven by the Kingdom’s strategic location and stable environment. With a population of over 60 million and a growing GDP, Anhui is experiencing dynamic economic growth, making it an attractive destination for investment.
