Israeli Hostage in Gaza Says Hamas Moved Him 10 Times Amid Bombardment
An Israeli hostage held by Hamas in Gaza claimed that Hamas fighters moved him 10 times to protect him during relentless Israeli bombardment. Before his tragic death, Alexander Lobanov described the dire conditions he and other hostages faced, including lack of basic necessities and constant fear due to bombing by the Israeli army. Lobanov accused the Israeli government of abandoning them and failing to negotiate with Hamas for their release alive.
The video featuring Lobanov and another hostage, Carmel Gat, who was also killed, urged Israelis to protest and demand the hostages’ return alive from Gaza. The bodies of the six hostages were recently recovered by the Israeli army. The army accused Hamas of killing them, while Hamas blamed the Israeli military for their deaths.
Efforts for a prisoner exchange and cease-fire deal between Israel and Hamas have been stalled, with growing criticism in Israel against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The ongoing blockade in Gaza has led to severe shortages of essential resources, raising concerns of genocide accusations.
