Thousands of Israelis Rally in Support of Hostages Held by Hamas in Gaza
Tel Aviv municipality services will participate in a half-day strike on Monday in solidarity with the hostages and their families, Mayor Ron Huldai announced. This comes after the bodies of six Israeli hostages were brought back from Gaza, leaving 101 people still in captivity, including 35 believed to be dead.
Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid is calling for a strike to shut down the economy, urging all Israelis to join a protest in Tel Aviv. The powerful Histadrut labor federation has also called for a general strike on Monday to pressure the government to secure the release of the remaining hostages.
The show of solidarity and unity in Israel reflects the nation’s determination to bring their fellow citizens home and end this hostage crisis. As tensions mount, the Israeli people stand together in support of the hostages and their families.
