CAIR Urges Biden to Value Palestinian and Israeli Lives Equally
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has called on President Joe Biden to treat Palestinian and Israeli lives with equal importance. The plea comes after the recovery of six hostages, including an American, in Gaza, which sparked protests against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government.
CAIR’s National Executive Director, Nihad Awad, emphasized the need for President Biden to condemn the torture-murder of a 58-year-old Palestinian man from the West Bank. Awad stressed the importance of valuing all human life, regardless of nationality, and called for an end to the Gaza genocide.
Israel estimates that more than 100 hostages are still being held by Hamas in Gaza, with mediation efforts stalled due to Netanyahu’s refusal to meet Hamas’ demands. The ongoing violence in Gaza has resulted in thousands of casualties and widespread devastation.
CAIR urged Biden to take action and force Netanyahu to agree to a ceasefire, release hostages, and provide humanitarian aid to Gaza. The organization also highlighted Israel’s actions in Gaza, accusing them of genocide.
