The Armenian government has approved a housing provision program for forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh. Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan presented the project, which offers three options for housing assistance.
The program includes providing certificates for buying an apartment or house, building a house, or paying off an existing mortgage loan. The amount of certificates varies based on family size and location, with families eligible for up to 5 million AMD in certain areas.
To qualify, families must have been forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh after September 27, 2020, and all family members must hold Armenian citizenship. Additionally, the purchased house must have a minimum of 12 square meters per family member and cost no more than 55 million AMD.
