Paraguayan President Peña Recognized for Leadership and Diplomacy
Paraguayan President Santiago Peña received the “CHLI Founders Award for International Leadership” in Washington DC, where he highlighted the progress of his country in contrast to Argentina’s challenges. Peña emphasized Paraguay’s growth and democracy, calling it a beacon for Latin America.
Peña discussed the importance of a low-tax fiscal system and open economy in driving Paraguay’s development. He also mentioned the country’s commitment to democracy and freedom, as well as its efforts to strengthen bilateral relations with the United States.
During his visit to Washington, Peña met with White House Advisors to discuss international affairs in Taiwan, Israel, and Ukraine. The discussions aimed at enhancing bilateral relations and collaboration in various areas like technology transfer and law enforcement training.
