During a meeting with Egyptian businessmen in Al-Alamein, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani encouraged them to participate in strategic projects in Iraq. Highlighting the importance of the strategic relationship between the two countries, Al-Sudani emphasized Iraq’s position as an important market with increasing growth potential due to its geographical location.
He invited Egyptian businessmen to engage in important projects planned by the Iraqi government, such as the construction of industrial cities as part of the Development Road project. Al-Sudani noted existing partnerships with Turkey, Qatar, and the UAE in this endeavor. The completion of the Al-Faw Grand Port and the largest industrial city by 2025 will contribute significantly to the region.
Al-Sudani’s meeting with Egyptian businessmen was part of his official visit to Egypt, where he also met with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to discuss collaboration through the Iraqi-Egyptian Joint Committee, especially in the oil and gas sectors.
