Dr. George Moghalu, a founding member and former National Auditor of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has officially resigned from the ruling party. Despite the party leadership stating that they were not surprised by Moghalu’s decision, his resignation letter to his local party chairman in Anambra State marked his departure.
Although Moghalu did not disclose his next political move, citing personal reasons for his resignation, speculations had already been circulating for months. The APC National Deputy Organizing Secretary confirmed that Moghalu had actually left the party a while ago, but his formal resignation now makes it official.
Looking ahead, Moghalu is believed to be contemplating a run for the 2025 Anambra State governorship election. The Anambra State APC Deputy Publicity Secretary stated that while they had not received official details of Moghalu’s resignation, they respected his decision and wished him well in his future endeavors.
