Mandela emphasized that he is not attacking Adetshina or her family but rather ensuring that the law is upheld. He stated that their concerns are focused on advocating for justice for the victims of crime and addressing criminal activities.
Despite the investigation, Adetshina, who has been leading the Miss Universe Nigeria votes, arrived in Nigeria on Wednesday afternoon. The home affairs department indicated that if Adetshina’s mother is found to have committed fraud, her ID could be cancelled, putting Adetshina’s ID and passport at risk since she acquired South African citizenship through her mother.
