The General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces reported that since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022, Russia has lost a staggering 603,010 troops, with 1,210 casualties suffered just in the past day. In addition to the human cost, Russia has also lost a significant number of military equipment, including tanks, armored vehicles, artillery systems, aircraft, and ships.
On a brighter note for Ukraine, the country recently approved Sweden’s Pansarbandvagn 302 (PBV 302) for delivery to its armed forces as part of a $1.3 billion military aid package. This move indicates continued international support for Ukraine’s defense efforts against Russian aggression.
The ongoing conflict in Ukraine highlights the resilience and determination of the Ukrainian people in the face of adversity. As the country continues to defend its sovereignty, support from the international community remains crucial in ensuring Ukraine’s security and territorial integrity.
