Israel’s military reported that a barrage of 55 rockets from Lebanon triggered fires in northern Israel, with some projectiles intercepted while others caused blazes in open areas.
Amidst the exchange of fire, Hezbollah claimed to have launched intense missile attacks on Israeli military positions in the north, prompting Israeli retaliation by striking the areas from where the missiles were launched in Lebanon.
The ongoing conflict since Oct. 8 has led to widespread damage, casualties, and increased fears of a larger escalation, with Hezbollah promising retaliation for an Israeli strike that killed one of its top commanders in Beirut last month.
