Four young Omanis come together to form ‘Dhofar Tourism and Adventure Company’ to offer thrilling adventures in Oman
Abdul Hakim Amer al Maashani, Mazen Ali Zaabanut al Mahri, Abdullah Ahmed, and Murshid Yahya al Naqeeb al Yafei joined forces to establish ‘Dhofar Tourism and Adventure Company’, aiming to showcase Oman’s natural beauty and promote adventure tourism.
The company, founded in December 2020, focuses on cave exploration, with nine caves discovered in Dhofar so far. Their calendar includes activities like cave explorations, hiking, mountain climbing, and diving in wadis.
The team believes in the transformative power of adventure culture, promoting self-discovery, resilience, independence, and mindfulness. They stress the importance of meticulous planning for safe and fulfilling experiences, highlighting the benefits of adventure travel such as stress reduction and mental well-being.
Despite challenges, the group remains optimistic about the future of Omani tourism, calling for more support and qualified guides in the adventure tourism sector. They urge Omani youth to pursue opportunities in adventure tourism and embrace training for success in this field.
