“It’s murder in broad daylight, and it’s being perpetrated by our governments, the Americans, the Brits, the French, the Dutch… in plain sight, and we will not swallow it”.
Rock legend Roger Waters expressed outrage at the ongoing genocide of Palestinians in Gaza and criticized world leaders for allowing it to continue. In an interview with Palestine Deep Dive (PDD), Waters condemned the desensitization towards the catastrophic situation in Gaza, likening the current state of affairs to George Orwell’s dystopian novel, “1984.”
With over 40,000 Palestinians killed in Gaza, Waters emphasized that it is not a war but a genocide, pointing fingers at the Israeli government and the people supporting it. He highlighted the powerful influence of the Israeli lobby in silencing dissent and called for a focus on human rights in addressing the situation.
Despite the challenges, Waters urged for a moral compass to guide actions against the atrocities in Gaza and stressed the importance of speaking up against injustice, even in the face of adversity.
