Israeli Officials Discuss ICC Arrest Warrants
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant met with officials to discuss efforts by the International Criminal Court (ICC) to issue arrest warrants against them. The ICC is seeking arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant on charges of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Palestinian territories. Israel does not recognize the ICC’s jurisdiction.
The Israeli onslaught on Gaza has resulted in thousands of casualties, and the country is facing international condemnation. The ICC has ordered Israel to halt its military operations in Rafah. The situation in Gaza remains dire, with vast tracts of land destroyed and a severe blockade in place.
Despite the ICC’s actions, Israel remains defiant. The country is accused of genocide and is under scrutiny from international bodies. The conflict in Gaza continues, with no end in sight.
