AIADMK General Secretary Criticizes DMK Government’s Plan for Formula 4 Street Race
In a recent event, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami criticized the DMK government in Tamil Nadu for planning to conduct the Formula 4 night street race in Salem using taxpayer funds. Instead, he urged the government to focus on people welfare projects for development.
Palaniswami noted that the event was initially postponed due to heavy rainfall and suggested using the established Madras Motor Race Track in Irungattukottai. He emphasized the importance of proper road connectivity, healthcare, and educational facilities for a city’s development, claiming AIADMK initiated such projects.
Questioning the necessity of the Formula 4 Street Race, Palaniswami highlighted the issues faced by the public and criticized the decision to spend Rs 42 crore on the event. He urged the DMK government to prioritize people’s welfare and address the developmental needs of cities like Salem with significant industries.
Palaniswami’s remarks underscore the ongoing debate over governmental priorities and the allocation of public funds for events versus essential services.
