Israel’s Foreign Minister Israel Katz has announced the revocation of the diplomatic status of Norwegian envoys to the Palestinian Authority due to Oslo’s perceived “anti-Israel behavior” during the Gaza war. Katz stated, “There is a price for anti-Israel behavior.”
Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide responded by calling Israel’s decision an “extreme action” that will “have consequences” on the relationship between the two countries. Eide mentioned considering measures in response to the situation created by the Netanyahu government.
