Imran Khan Takes Action: Committee Formed to Monitor KP Ministers’ Performance
Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has taken a significant step to ensure transparency and good governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). In consultation with the KP Chief Minister, a 3-member committee has been formed to monitor the performance of ministers.
The committee, consisting of Shah Farman, legal expert Qazi Anwar, and anti-corruption advisor Musaddiq, will review complaints of corruption and suggest measures for good governance. It will also oversee the performance of the Chief Minister and other ministers.
Qazi Anwar highlighted the committee’s aim to expand the scope of the Anti-Corruption Department by investigating corruption cases against grade 21 officers and ministers, sending them to courts for further action.
This decision comes after a meeting between CM and Imran Khan where concerns were raised about ministerial performance. In a related development, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif questioned the KP government’s failure to establish a Counter Terrorism Department despite significant funds received. He emphasized the province’s crucial role in fighting terrorism.
Imran Khan’s proactive approach towards governance in KP reflects his commitment to accountability and transparency.\
