In a devastating turn of events, Israel’s military targeted and bombed Hamama School in Gaza City, which was serving as a shelter for displaced Palestinians. The Gaza civil defense agency revealed that the school compound was home to individuals who had been forced to leave their homes multiple times since the start of the Israeli genocidal war in early October.
While the Israeli military stated that the school was being used as a command and control center by Hamas, the militant group has consistently denied such allegations. The violence continued as Israeli forces killed three Palestinians in an attack on a house in the Bureij refugee camp and five more near Khan Younis, including a child and three women.
The situation further escalated with reports of casualties in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City. The Gaza Health Ministry reported a staggering death toll of 39,550 and over 91,280 wounded in the past ten months alone. The ongoing conflict has taken a heavy toll on the people of Gaza, as they continue to endure the horrors of war and displacement.
