Over 16,000 Palestinian children have lost their lives in Israel’s relentless assault on the Gaza Strip since October 7th of last year, according to local authorities. Tragically, among the victims are 35 children who died of starvation as a result of the Israeli blockade on the enclave.
Additionally, the Government Media Office in Gaza reported that nearly 11,000 women, 885 medics, 165 journalists, and 79 civil defense members have also been killed in Israeli attacks. Since October 7th, 2023, seven mass graves have been discovered in Gaza, containing 520 bodies.
Despite a UN resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire, Israel has continued its brutal offensive on Gaza, garnering international condemnation. The total casualty count stands at nearly 39,500 Palestinians killed and over 91,000 injured, predominantly women and children.
Charges of genocide have been leveled against Israel at the International Court of Justice, culminating in a ruling to halt its military operations in Rafah. This southern city had become a refuge for over a million Palestinians before being targeted on May 6th.
