The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan has once again accused the army of the Republic of Armenia of engaging in provocative actions on the Armenia-Azerbaijan state border, prompting a response from Ani Badalyan, the press secretary of the Armenian Foreign Ministry. Badalyan expressed disappointment in the lack of response from Azerbaijan to Armenia’s proposals for establishing a joint mechanism for investigating border incidents, which would help prevent the spread of false information.
Despite Azerbaijan’s attempts to escalate tensions and involve Armenia in rhetoric of aggression, the Armenian government remains dedicated to promoting peace. The reforms in the Armenian armed forces and acquisition of weapons are solely aimed at defending the country’s territory within the boundaries of international law.
Furthermore, Armenia has repeatedly offered to engage in mutual arms control with Azerbaijan, but these proposals have also been left unanswered. Despite the lack of response, Armenia’s willingness to cooperate and maintain peace remains steadfast.
