رفع أمير منطقة الرياض الأمير فيصل بن بندر بن عبدالعزيز، شكره وتقديره لخادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، ولولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء رئيس مجلس إدارة الهيئة الملكية لمدينة الرياض الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، على إطلاق «مشروع قطار الرياض» ضمن «مشروع الملك عبدالعزيز للنقل العام بمدينة الرياض – القطار والحافلات» الذي تقوم عليه الهيئة الملكية لمدينة الرياض.
وقال: إن هذا المشروع الذي يُعد الأكبر من نوعه والأحدث في تصاميمه وتقنياته، سيسهم في تيسير سبل التنقل لسكان مدينة الرياض وزوّارها، والارتقاء بمختلف قطاعاتها إلى المكانة الرائدة التي تستحقها بين نظرائها من مدن العالم المتقدمة، بما ينسجم مع أهداف برامج «رؤية المملكة 2030».
