A Melbourne father is recovering in hospital after he was allegedly stabbed three times while taking a prospective car buyer on a test drive.
Police have since arrested a 19-year-old man following the Facebook Marketplace meet-up in Greensborough about 5.30pm yesterday.
Chris Cook Was allegedly attacked by an interested buyer after he posted his ute for sale.

They met up outside his home, with his wife Christine watching, the pair climbed into the ute to begin the test drive along Killarney Ridge.
However, halfway through the drive, the 58-year-old asked the offender if he would like to takeover.
Once they swapped drivers, the offender allegedly produced a knife, telling Cook to get out of the car.
After refusing to leave, he was allegedly stabbed three times.
”Chris said ‘no’, and then he was (allegedly) stabbed,” Ms Cook said.
“The guy got out of the car and I heard Chris yelling ‘call an ambulance’.”

Emergency services arrived quickly at the scene, with the man treated by paramedics and taken to hospital with serious injuries.
He remains in hospital with injuries to his upper body and lower abdomen.
Ms Cook described the incident as incredibly scary, explaining that she had thought meeting with a buyer would be safe.
“It is scary with Marketplace… you (need to) be careful,” she said,
“You don’t think it will happen to you.”

Police arrested a 19-year-old Wyndham Vale man a short distance away and he was taken to hospital with hand injuries.
He will be interviewed by detectives when released from hospital.
