Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) media center member Manar Ghanem announced there will be continued rainfall on most coastal governorates overlooking the Mediterranean Sea during Wednesday, with varying intensity, as it extends to southern Lower Egypt.
During a phone-in with al-Nahar TV channel, Ghanem said that the coastal governorates overlooking the Mediterranean Sea are exposed to a low pressure system in the upper layers of the atmosphere, amid the “al-Maknasa (The Broom) Storm” hitting Alexandria, which led to the disruption of study at schools.
Will Greater Cairo be affected by The Broom Storm?
Ghanem xplained that the storm will not affect Greater Cairo, ruling out rain falling on these governorates.
She pointed out that there will be a slight increase in temperature in most governorates starting from Thursday until Sunday, and that they will decrease again on Monday.
