Finland has recorded its highest number of corporate bankruptcies this century, with 2,700 companies declaring insolvency by early November 2024. This figure surpasses the previous record of 2,681 bankruptcies set in 2023. The trend highlights the ongoing challenges faced by businesses amid economic uncertainty and rising interest rates.
The majority of bankruptcies this year have affected small businesses with turnovers below €199,000.
