Ticketek’s website went offline earlier today after the ticket merchant shut down its systems over a security threat.
The Australian ticket website said its systems were temporarily not working this morning and apologised for the inconvenience.
In a message to customers, Ticketek said it took the action to take systems offline after spotting a potential threat.

“Ticketek wishes to thank its customers and partners for their patience while our systems were temporarily offline. Our systems were back online earlier this morning and we apologise for any inconvenience,” it said in a statement shared to X.
“We took this action as a precautionary measure in response to system monitoring indicating a heightened threat level.”
The site is back up and running after displaying a message about the disruption.

Ticketek was the target of a cyber breach in June.
Multiple customers reported receiving a message from Ticketek which largely mirrored a statement parent company TEG released.
It confirmed again that customers’ names, dates of birth, and email addresses may have been affected, but not credit card or payment information.
