Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced on Sunday that Iraq’s weekly oil exports to the United States continued to decline last week.
The EIA mentioned that the average US imports of crude oil during the past week from nine major countries reached approximately 5.7 million barrels per day, representing an increase of 104,000 barrels per day compared to the previous week, when US oil imports reached nearly 5.6 million barrels per day, Shafaq News reported.
Iraq’s oil exports to the United States reached 121,000 barrels per day last week, representing a decline of 62,000 barrels per day compared to the previous week, when Iraq exported 183,000 barrels per day to the US.
The EIA indicated that most of the United States imports of crude oil during the past week came from Canada at an average of 3.95 million barrels per day, followed by Mexico with an average of 384,000 barrels per day, and Venezuela with an average of 359,000 barrels per day.
The United States imported an average of 280,000 barrels per day from Brazil, 247,000 barrels per day from Ecuador, 142,000 barrels per day from Colombia, 140,000 barrels per day from Saudi Arabia, and 77,000 barrels per day from Nigeria.
