Some Democrats reportedly aren’t thrilled with House Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) as she continues to publicly criticize her party’s performance in this year’s election.
Axios reported Friday that Democrats have said they feel Pelos needs to let House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) lead the caucus.
One senior Democratic lawmaker told the outlet, “She needs to take a seat” and that her “scattershot comments” are “unhelpful” — and even “damaging.”

Additionally, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus told the outlet Pelosi doesn’t seem to be “respectful” of Jeffries, who has been “tremendously graceful and respectful of her.”
Jeffries for his part has told fellow Democrats “the buck stops with me.”
The report comes a week after Pelosi pointed fingers at President Joe Biden as Democrats looked for someone to blame for Donald Trump winning the election.
Speaking to the New York Times last week, Pelosi complained: “Had the president gotten out sooner, there may have been other candidates in the race.”
