A MAGA congresswoman turned on a senior member of her party Monday night when asked on Fox News about the state of the race to become the next Senate majority leader.
After fending off a challenge for her seat in November, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) joined “The Ingraham Angle” and was asked by host Laura Ingraham her thoughts on the looming Senate majority leader race, given the “very short window” that President-elect Donald Trump has to enact his agenda.
Luna immediately went on the attack against former Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY.)

“Make no mistake Mitch McConnell is trying to knife Rick Scott and ensure that President Trump’s agenda is blocked,” she hurled. “Mitch McConnell has done more harm to this country than I would argue that [Senate Majority Leader Chuck] Schumer has.”
Luna continued her rant, saying if Sens. John Thune (R-SD) and John Cornyn (R-TX) “love this country” and want to “back this president” to “stand aside” and allow Scott to become the majority leader.
Her remarks come after former Fox News host Tucker Carlson asked, “What the hell is going on in the US Senate?”
“Hours after Donald Trump wins the most conclusive mandate in 40 years, Mitch McConnell engineers a coup against his agenda by calling early leadership elections in the senate.”
Carlson continued: “Two of the three candidates hate Trump and what he ran on. One of them, John Cornyn, is an angry liberal whose politics are indistinguishable from Liz Cheney’s. The election is Wednesday, it’s by secret ballot, and it will determine whether or not the new administration succeeds.”
It also comes as many of Trump’s most fervent supporters look to apply some of the same tactics from the 2020 “Stop the Steal” protests to the vote over who will be the next Senate majority leader.
