A woman has been found dead and a man has been taken to hospital in a critical condition after an incident at a hotel in Sydney’s west.
Emergency services were called to the Pullman Hotel on Mulgoa Road in Penrith about 1.10pm after the woman was found dead in a room.
The heavily tattooed man in his 50s was found unconscious inside the room with slash wounds to his arms.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being driven to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition under police guard.
The woman is yet to be formally identified.
A hotel staff member walked in on the scene when guests who’d booked a late check out, failed to leave.
The couple are said to have known each other, and detectives are investigating.
