A man has been rushed to hospital with critical injuries after a freak accident in which a ride-on lawn mower flipped into a lake and crushed him at a golf course in Logan.
The man was working as a groundskeeper when the incident occurred about 7.30am.
A number of bystanders rushed to help him and attempted to remove him from the water before emergency services arrived.

The man was rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital with life-threatening injuries to his head and neck.
He remains there in a critical but stable condition.
“Our thoughts are with the injured person and their family during this time, and we’re all hoping for a full recovery,” the golf club said in a statement to its members.
The accident is being treated as an industrial incident, with Workplace Health and Safety Queensland opening an investigation.
