Details: “If I lose the election, if it’s a fair election, I will be the first one to acknowledge it… So far, I think it’s been fair”, Trump told reporters after voting in Florida, repeating a cautionary note he has used frequently during his campaign.
Wearing a red cap emblazoned with slogan Make America Great Again, Trump reiterated his previous criticism of electronic voting machines, suggesting they are less secure than paper ballots and delay the announcement of results.
Quote: “They spent all this money on machines and frankly if they’d use paper ballots it would be over by 10 o’clock in the evening. It’s crazy.”
He added, “You know that paper is more sophisticated now than computers? If it’s watermarked paper, you can’t… It’s unbelievable what happens with it. There’s nothing you can do to cheat”.
When asked about concerns over potential unrest after the election and whether he would urge his supporters to avoid violence, Trump dismissed the question.
Quote: “I don’t have to tell them that there will be no violence. Of course, there will be no violence. My supporters are not violent people.”
As reported, Donald Trump, along with his wife Melania, has already cast his vote in Palm Beach, Florida.
US Republican vice-presidential candidate JD Vance has also voted and expressed confidence in his party’s victory.
