Three killed in Australia as small planes collide: Guardian Nigeria News

Tragedy struck in Sydney’s south-west as two light planes collided, leading to the death of three individuals. The crash occurred at Belimbla Park in the Macarthur region, with police finding the wrecked planes about a kilometer apart.

The first plane, a Cessna 182, was traveling from Cessnock to Wollongong and caught fire upon impact. The second plane, an ultralight Jabiru believed to have originated from a nearby airfield, collided with the first plane. The crash sites are close to two flying schools, Sydney Recreational Flying Club and Dave’s Flying School.

Witnesses described the scene as shocking, with one plane nosediving into bushland. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau will conduct an investigation into the cause of the crash. Emergency services were on-site to extinguish fires and attend to the situation.
