Controversy Erupts Over Bihar Bungalow Occupancy After Politician’s Death

A bungalow in Patna, once used as an office by the Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP), has become the center of a political storm in Bihar. The state’s Building Construction Department has ordered party chief Pashupati Kumar Paras to vacate the premises at One Wheeler Road within seven days. Officials are ready to forcibly remove Paras if he does not comply.

The dispute stems from factions that arose after the death of veteran politician Ram Vilas Paswan, splitting the party into two groups led by Paswan’s brother and son. The question of who rightfully occupies the office remains unresolved, as both factions claim ownership.

Recent developments saw the RLJP, led by Paras, occupying the bungalow allocated to Chirag Paswan’s group, adding fuel to the ongoing power struggle. Legal proceedings further complicate the issue, with Chirag Paswan’s party arguing for government accommodation as a recognized state-level party by the Election Commission.
