Hong Kong is setting ambitious goals for clean energy, aiming for net-zero emissions by 2050 through various initiatives targeting electricity, waste reduction, and transport. With a well-managed mass transit network, the city is focusing on reducing its carbon footprint by eliminating combustion engine private cars and polluting vehicles by 2035.

The government is also making significant strides in the energy transition, particularly in the ferry service sector. The Airport Authority is committed to cutting carbon emissions by 55% by 2035 and upgrading to electric ground service vehicles.
