Most EFF leaders aware of my departure to MKP: Floyd Shivambu.

Former EFF national organiser Floyd Shivambu has revealed that most leaders in the EFF were aware of his decision to leave the party and join the uMkhonto weSizwe Party. Despite some members trying to dissuade him, Shivambu explained on Sizwe Mpofu-Welsh’s podcast SMWX why he believed leaving the EFF was the right move.

Shivambu emphasized that joining the uMkhonto weSizwe Party was the best decision for him politically, even though his departure from the EFF caused a stir in the country’s political landscape. He declined suggestions from other EFF members to leave as a group, opting for individuals to make their own decisions.

With the recent departure of EFF MP Busisiwe Mkhwebane to join the MK party alongside ANC veteran Willies Mchunu, it seems a shift is happening in South African politics. Shivambu expressed that those who seek true revolutionary politics may find a home in the organic formation of the MKP, which advocates for total decolonisation.

As more individuals choose to align themselves with the MK party, the political landscape in South Africa continues to evolve, potentially setting the stage for a new era in revolutionary politics.
