Mawlawi Abdul Kabir reaffirms commitment to constructive dialogue with UK

Kabul(BNA): Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, emphasized the significance of fostering positive relations with the United Kingdom during a meeting with Robert Dickson, the UK Chargé d’Affaires to Afghanistan. The Deputy Prime Minister praised Dickson’s dedication to maintaining these relations and highlighted the mutual advantages of continued dialogue.

The discussion, attended by Hafiz Anas Haqqani, a member of the Islamic Emirate’s Political Commission, centered on enhancing diplomatic and economic cooperation.

Mr. Dickson described the talks between Afghan and British representatives as constructive, affirming the UK’s commitment to supporting Afghanistan’s stability. He confirmed that the UK government does not tolerate anti-Islamic Emirate activities on British soil and reiterated London’s ongoing support for humanitarian aid and climate resilience efforts in Afghanistan.

Hafiz Anas Haqqani expressed gratitude for British humanitarian aid and emphasized the improved security in Afghanistan as a foundation for foreign diplomatic relations. Mawlawi Abdul Kabir reiterated the Islamic Emirate’s dedication to upholding human rights and promoting positive international relations, particularly with the United Kingdom.
