Israeli military to review strike on journalists in Lebanon

The Israeli army recently conducted a strike in south Lebanon, claiming it was targeting Hezbollah militants, but it resulted in the unfortunate deaths of three journalists. The army stated that the incident is under review as reports came in that journalists were hit during the strike.

Lebanese television reported that the strike in Hasbaya targeted a journalists’ residence, resulting in casualties from multiple TV networks. Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati condemned Israel for intentionally targeting journalists, labeling it as a “war crime” to silence the media’s coverage of events.

Israel’s recent focus on Lebanon comes after months of conflict in Gaza, with a bombing campaign aimed at Hezbollah strongholds. These tactics have raised concerns about the safety of journalists and civilians in the region.
