Israel Strikes Iranian Military Facilities
The Israeli military announced the completion of targeted airstrikes against Iranian military facilities. The strikes focused on missile manufacturing facilities that had produced missiles launched at Israel in the past year. Responding to recent missile attacks by Tehran, Israel also targeted surface-to-air missile systems and other Iranian aerial assets.
Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari confirmed the strikes, stating that they were aimed at thwarting immediate threats to Israel. Iran declared readiness to retaliate against Israeli aggression prior to Israel’s announcement.
“If the regime in Iran were to make the mistake of beginning a new round of escalation — we will be obligated to respond,” Hagari warned.
The United States supported Israel’s actions, citing them as an exercise of self-defense in response to Iran’s previous ballistic missile attack.
