The White House stated that Israel’s recent strikes on military targets in Iran were deemed as an “exercise of self-defense” in response to Tehran’s ballistic missile attack earlier this month. National Security Council spokesman Sean Savett emphasized that these targeted strikes were necessary following Iran’s aggression towards Israel on October 1.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that they are conducting strikes on military targets in Iran in response to continuous attacks from the Iranian regime. The IDF’s decision to target military sites in Iran came after facing numerous attacks from Iranian proxies on Israeli soil. The IDF reiterated Israel’s right to defend itself against such threats.
Reports emerged of multiple explosions in Tehran and nearby Karaj city, with no official confirmation on the source. The explosions were believed to be linked to Israel’s response to Iran’s ballistic missile attack earlier in the month. Iranian authorities had previously warned of strong retaliation against any Israeli attack on their soil.
