Israel attacks Syria, Iraq in broad response to Iran.

Over the weekend, Israel launched attacks on targets in Syria and Iraq in response to Iranian threats. Syrian media confirmed multiple military strikes in the central and southern regions of Syria, with explosions reported outside Damascus. The Syrian Military’s air defense intercepted some missiles, but the results of the attacks are still being assessed.

The primary objective of the strikes in Syria was to disrupt Iranian early warning radars. In Iraq, explosions were initially reported in Basra but were later denied by Iraqi officials, who clarified that the incidents actually occurred in Iran. Basra, a Shia stronghold, has a history of Shia uprisings.

In response to the attacks, the Iraqi Transportation Ministry suspended all air traffic until further notice. The situation remains tense as regional tensions escalate. Stay tuned for updates as the situation continues to unfold.
