Ehsan Haidari, Director-General of Foreign Nationals and Immigrants Affairs, announced the launch of the eighth campaign to regulate and deport Afghan migrants in Tehran.

According to reports, the deportation of undocumented migrants has sharply increased this year compared to last year, with a significant operation carried out in Quds village.

Despite warnings to employers, Iranian officials continue their crackdown on undocumented migrants, aiming to expel nearly two million migrants by year-end, causing a humanitarian crisis for many Afghan refugees.

As the harsh winter approaches, Afghan refugees are facing dire conditions upon their forced return to a country plagued by conflict and instability.
