Baqaei blamed the US for the difficult situation in Cuba, stating that the 66-year-long sanctions have severely damaged the country’s infrastructure. He called these sanctions a violation of human rights and a crime against humanity.
Recently, Cuba experienced widespread power outages due to a collapse in its largest power plant, leading to a nationwide blackout. The Cuban government pointed fingers at the US embargo for exacerbating the country’s energy problems.
