Global response to Israel’s lethal retaliation against Iran

The Competition Council in Morocco conducted a surprise raid at a company suspected of anti-competitive practices in the on-demand delivery market. Authorized by the Public Prosecutor, the operation was carried out with the assistance of law enforcement. The Council clarified that the raid does not confirm any wrongdoing and further investigation will determine any violations. The council emphasized the importance of surprise visits to gather evidence related to anti-competitive practices.

Inspectors also visited Glovo’s headquarters in response to a complaint filed by a competitor, Ora, alleging restrictive conditions on restaurants. The focus of the investigation is on abusive practices rather than market dominance. The complaint addresses issues like refusal to sell, discriminatory sales conditions, and setting minimum prices. The inspection aims to verify these allegations in the fast-food delivery industry. The Competition Council’s research and investigation services play a crucial role in monitoring economic concentration and ensuring fair competition practices in the market.
